Senior citizens in Chhattisgarh would now get medical aid at state-run hospitals and medical colleges on priority basis.
A separate yellow registration card would be provided to them and a separate OPD counter would be available for them at all the district hospitals and medical colleges of state, an official communication informed on Saturday.
The facilities are provided to them under ‘Rashtriya Vayovriddha Swasthya Paricharya Programme’ under ‘Mata-Pita Aur Varishtha Nagrik Anurakshan and Kalyan Adhiniyam’ of Health and Family Welfare Department of the Chhattisgarh government.
The programme will ensure free of cost OPD, IPD, Laboratory tests, cataract test and physiotherapy to them
Under the programme free of cost operation of cataract, free fitness guide and free of cost walker and walking sticks would be provided to them, the communiqué said.
