Cold wave conditions continued to grip the State with four places recording temperatures below 10 degree Celsius on Monday night.
The Regional office of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) here said Semiliguda in Koraput continued to be the coldest place at 7.4 degree followed by G Udayagiri with 9, Phulbani and Daringbadi 9.5 each. Nabarangpur and Kirei recorded 10 degree each, Koraput 10.2 and Boudh 10.5.
The twin cities of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack recorded 16.8 degree and 17 degree, respectively.
According to the IMD, there would be no major change in the prevailing cold trend in the next four to five days.
The prevailing wind pattern supported the drop in mercury level in the State by 2 to 3 degree Celsius, said IMD Regional Director HR Biswas.
