For better accessibility, rural roads in Chhattisgarh are being paved with cement concrete under the Mukhyamantri Gauravpath Yojana.
An official communication on Thursday said that to provide better road connectivity for the rural populace living in remote villages, the government has accomplished the construction of cement concrete roads to improve road connectivity and living standards.
Of the 10 villages earmarked under the scheme, the construction of roads is accomplished in seven, the communication said
The objective behind developing connectivity facilities in villages is to avoid the use of mud roads so that there is less dust in the atmosphere.
Moreover, with concrete roads, commuting will become easy and ambulances will be able to reach the patients easily, it said.
