Paradip Port breaks own record

 The Paradip Port got 1,46,565 metric tonnes of iron ore fines loaded in the ship MV Cape Ray having a length of 292 meters, beam of 45 meters and sailing draught of 16 meters at the New Iron Ore Berth of JSW terminal, which is the highest-ever loading at the port surpassing the previous best of 1,43,853 MT.

The cargo belonged to the JSW Steel which the company loaded at its terminal for its Jaigarh steel plant in Maharashtra for discharge at its captive port Jaigarh. The shippers expressed their gratitude to the Paradip Port Authority, especially the Marine Department which berthed the vessel after day light hours on June 21 and sailed on June 24 after completion of loading.
