Punjab Local Government Minister Inderbir Singh Nijjar on Tuesday directed the Department officials to speed up the work of ongoing cleaning project of Buddha Nullah, worth Rs 519 crore, so that people can get a sigh of relief from the polluted rivulet. Reviewing the project’s status, the Minister asked the officials of the Water Supply and Sewerage Board to complete this project within the stipulated time, so that Buddha Nullah can be rejuvenated. “The State Government is committed to provide a clean and green environment to the people and delay will not be tolerated in this regard,” he emphasized.
