2 girls injured as temple wall collapses on them

New Delhi: Two girls were injured after the wall of a temple in southwest Delhi's Kishangarh collapsed on them. According to police, the incident took place on Wednesday when the girls were passing by a temple and its wall caved in on them. They were rushed to AIIMS Trauma Centre for treatment.

30-yr-old man stabbed by 3 juveniles, dies

New Delhi: Three juveniles in west Delhi's Sultanpuri area stabbed to death a 30-year-old man who used to snatch their money to buy drinks and often thrashed them. On Wednesday at 8.24 pm, police got information from Sanjay Gandhi Hospital that a man had been admitted by his sister with serious stabs. The victim was identified as Ajay, a resident of the Labour Colony, Sultanpuri.

‘Students want to contribute to nation’s progress’

New Delhi: The students of Delhi Government schools not only consider themselves as "the future of the country" but also wish to "contribute for the progress of the nation", Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said on Thursday. Reviewing the curriculum-related activities at a government school, Sisodia said that the confidence in students has gone up and that they now have a "vision to improve their careers."

charred body recovered from burnt car

New Delhi: A charred body was recovered from a burnt car in northwest Delhi's Kanjhawala area on Thursday. The body, which was completely charred, is yet to be identified. Police said that a PCR call was received around 6.40 am regarding a burning car in Kanjhawala. On reaching the spot, the car was found on the route from Majra Dabas to Jatkhod. The body and the car were completely burnt. The police are analysing CCTV cameras in the vicinity to ascertain the sequence of events.

NBw issued against owners of ivf firm

New Delhi: A non-bailable warrant (NBW) has been issued against Dr Reeta Bakshi and her son, Sarthak Bakshi, the owners of Embryo Health Private Limited, located at Delhi’s Green Park by the Tees Hazari Court. The non-bailable warrants have been issued in the case filed by Dr Seema Bajaj who has alleged that the cheque issued by the IVF firm owners worth Rs 52 lakh bounced due to insufficiency of funds. Besides, they have also been charged with cheating and fraud.

labourer dies after falling into 40-ft deep basement

New Delhi: A labourer died after he allegedly fell into a 40 feet deep under construction basement at Safdarjung railway station redevelopment site here on Thursday morning. The deceased, identified as Shamsher, is a resident of Araria district of Bihar. Police said that around 6 am, an information was received at Sarojini Nagar police station that the labourer while working on a construction site near the railway station fell and got trapped under the debris.
