Chhattisgarh Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu on Tuesday said that Naxalite incidences in state have significantly reduced and now the Maoists are on the backfoot.
A record number of Naxalites have surrendered in the past three years in Chhattisgarh and they have been arrested as well, he said.
Talking to a private news channel, Sahu said earlier camps used to be set up in Chhattisgarh to battle Naxalism and now camps are coming up to promote development in Bastar.
The Minister said the modus operandi of crime was changing and policing methods were also modified. The police are working to make citizens aware of cyber crimes.
