The Misrod police have arrested a wanted fraudster involved in preparing fake power of attorney and using the same of registry and cheating the victim.
The accused identified as Ravi Variyani who remained absconding for long was arrested. At present, Ravi has been booked for cases of fraud.
The accused along with his aides prepared a fake power of attorney and on the basis of the documents did registry and committed the incident of fraud with the complainant.
Earlier, a complaint was lodged by the victim in which it was stated that Kapil Variyani, Ravi Variyani along with his aides prepared a fake power of attorney and on the basis of it, fraudulently registry of property was done and cheated the victim.
Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation a case under section 420, 467,468,471,120B of the IPC was registered by Misrod police and started investigation.
During the investigation, the accused Kapil Bariyani was arrested earlier in the case under section 173(8) CrPC.
The search for absconding accused was continued in the investigation and several places were searched and raided acting on tip offs received during investigation.
Acting on tip off that Ravi was arrested by the police on Saturday.
