In a sensational incident reported from Lakhimpur Kheri, a woman and her son were found murdered inside their home while the body of the woman’s husband was found hanging in the fields.

All the three bodies were found by the villagers on Wednesday morning. They informed the police after which senior officers rushed to the spot. The police suspect that the man committed suicide after killing his child and his wife.

Police sent the bodies for autopsy and are waiting for a post-mortem report of the man before moving forward with the investigation.

According to reports, the villagers in Malanga hamlet of Palia police station in Kheri district found the body of one Toleram (55) hanging from a tree in the field outside the village. They informed the police after which the cops rushed to the spot. To enquire about the matter, they reached Tolaram’s house and were shocked to find the bodies of his wife Swarswati and 10-year-old son Saurabh also lying in pools of blood.

The police prima facie suspected that Tolaram murdered both sometime in the night and later in the wee hours, he went to the field and committed suicide.

Sources said that the villagers informed the police that Tolaram had married twice and the deceased was his second wife, who lived in a separate house in the village itself.  His first wife, Draupadi, also lives in the village.

Draupadi went to the spot after the body of Tolaram was found hanging. In her presence the police sent the body for post-mortem. At that time it was not revealed to the police that Tolaram also had a second wife and a child.

Draupadi said that Tolaram had a fight with Saraswati on Monday morning after which he hanged himself.

Superintendent of Police of Kheri, Sanjeev Suman, directed the Palia police station to work out the case at earliest with the help of forensic experts.

Meanwhile, in another shocking incident reported from Gonda, a man and his wife allegedly committed suicide.

The family members informed the police about the incident. The cops sent the bodies for post-mortem and were making further investigations.

The incident took place in the Khondare area of the district. According to reports, Sanjeev Singh (45), a resident of the area, and his wife Vandana Singh (42) both committed suicide sometime in the wee hours of Wednesday.

Sanjeev's body was found hanging from the ceiling of the room while Vandana's body was found lying on the floor.

Mankapur police station incharge Sanjay Talwar said that the deceased's grandfather, Chandrabhan Singh, informed them of the deaths on Wednesday morning.

According to Chandrabhan, Sanjeev and Vandana had gone to their room on the second floor of the house after dinner on Tuesday night. In the night, there was a fight between the two over something after which both committed suicide.

Talwar said that Vandana was an employee in the primary health centre located at Babhnan in the district.

The family said that Sanjeev was addicted to alcohol.
