Sapna Dhakad, a woman who killed her own twins in Bhopal, was presented in the court on Thursday by the police. The court sent her to jail in judicial custody.
TT Nagar police station in-charge Chain Singh Raghuvanshi said that Sapna regrets what she did. Before going to jail, she kept pleading to save her. The police have gathered evidence against her. Police said that the challan will be presented in the matter soon.
Sapna Dhakad (27) who is originally from Berasia married Brijmohan Dhakad (28) in 2017 and lives near Kolar Guest House. She has a three year old daughter. She gave birth to twins on 7 September.
On September 23, at 4.30 am, when the family members were sleeping, she left the house with both the children. The same day she strangled the children. The dead body was thrown behind the boundary wall located near Habibganj Hanuman temple.
On Wednesday, the police took Sapna and her husband to the hospital. Samples were taken for DNA test of both. TI Chain Singh Raghuvanshi said that the police will confirm from the DNA report that the children belong to the accused woman.
TI said that the parents of the accused woman had also reached the police station in the night. She hasn't talked to anyone. After eating roti and sabzi, she slept silently.
