GRP traces WB girl by tracking mobile phone

 The Government Railway Police (GRP) has got clues in the mysterious disappearance of a girl student of West Bengal from the Bhubaneswar railway station.

The GRP with the help of electronic surveillance has ascertained Sweety’s  presence to Chitpur in West Bengal. They have sought assistance from Chitpur the police in locating the girl based on the location of her mobile phone.

A love affair was suspected to be the reason behind the girl’s disappearance from Bhubaneswar Railway Station. From CCTV camera, it has been ascertained that a male friend was seen with Sweety Notably, the 20-year-old girl had allegedly gone missing soon after deboarding at Bhubaneswar railway station on June 23.

Sweety had reportedly reached Bhubaneswar from Howrah in Jansatbdi Express. She reportedly had called her mother after deboarding at Bhubaneswar railway station. However, the family could not contact her subsequently as her mobile phone was switched off.

Later, the girl's local guardian lodged a missing complaint with the GRP Bhubaneswar.

Sweety, who hails from North 24 Parganas (West Bengal), was a second year student of Utkal Aerospace and Engineering College in the Khandagiri area in Bhubaneswar.
