The girl from Chatra district, who was subjected to a heinous acid attack on August 05 and is currently undergoing treatment at RIMS, Ranchi will be airlifted to Delhi on August 31. The RIMS Medical Board headed by the Medical Superintendent referred her for better treatment in Delhi. Necessary arrangements in this regard are being undertaken by Deputy Commissioner, Ranchi to shift the girl to Delhi at the earliest.
Chief Minister Hemant has decided over this issue based on the report given by the Medical Board constituted under the leadership of RIMS Superintendent. Process has been initiated by DC Ranchi to shift the girl to Delhi as soon as possible.
Deputy Commissioner of Chatra, Abu Imran informed that the family members of the victim are being provided with financial assistance of one lakh rupees. The cheque of the given amount will be handed over to the family of the girl who is undergoing her treatment in RIMS. The accused involved in this heinous crime, Sandeep Bharati was promptly arrested on the day of the incident and necessary legal procedures are underway.
The heinous crime happened on August 05, after which the girl was admitted to RIMS for treatment. The Chief Minister having been apprised of the incident has directed officials to extend all necessary support to both the girl and her family members.
Notably, this is the second such incident in which a girl was attacked by molesters. Recently, a minor girl was burnt alive by a molester in Dumka. While the Government has formed an SIT to probe the matter, the Jharkhand High Court on Tuesday took cognizance of the matter and sought a detailed report from State DGP.
The BJP as Opposition party in the State has also attacked the government on Ankita murder case, seeking an NIA probe in the matter. State BJP president, Deepak Prakash said that the government is protecting law breakers and criminals in a press conference at the party office on Tuesday.
