Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday said the work done by the state government has helped to enhance self-confidence among the people of the state.
He was interacting at a programme ‘Badal Ge Chhattisgarh Sanwar Ke Chhattisgarh’ of a private TV channel here.
He said the Chhattisgarh model was being spoken across the country where emphasis was laid and ground work done on health, education and culture, an official statement said.
Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also appreciated the government schemes, he said.
On Godhan Nyay Yojana, Baghel said it had helped to get rid of cattle on the roads. It had helped to generate income by sale of cow dung. These are now being converted as vermicompost and natural paints. The production of electricity from biogas had also begun.
He said when there will be a shortage of conventional means of energy, renewable energy models of wind, water, solar as well as cow dung will be crucial.
Baghel said the policy of development, trust and security has been adopted in the Naxalite region. This had helped to bring down Naxalite incidents.
A new industry policy was in place, with a focus on small industries, the Chief Minister said. Entrepreneurs are being promoted so that they can generate employment.
