Chhattisgarh Police on Tuesday arrested five more persons of an inter-state gang for fraudulently selling leased and stolen trucks through forged documents and seized 20 trucks from them.
Raipur Additional Superintendent of Police (Urban) Abhishek Maheshwari identified them as Nagendra Kumar Sinha, Siddhant Kumar Singh, Charanjeet Singh, Girish Kotwani and Avnindra Singh alias Madhur.
The first two are from Bihar, the next two are from Maharashtra and Madhur hails from Chhattisgarh.
The police seized 20 trucks, Rs 7.50 lakhs in cash, a car, a laptop, eight mobile phones, RC books and several other documents.
The police busted the gang this month and nabbed six persons including the mastermind and seized 20 trucks from them following a cheating case lodged in Raipur by an Uttar Pradesh-based transporter. So far, 11 persons have been held and 40 trucks seized from the gang members.
