Excise and Prohibition Department has issued a guideline against charging more prices than MRP at the liquor shops in the State. The department issued guidelines to control the wrongdoing by the shopkeepers to provide immediate help to the customers of the State.
Through this, an appeal has been made to the consumers that if the liquor shops charge more money than the MRP, then the customer can call the toll free number and file a complaint.
To increase public participation in the number for product control, one must use this number every working day from 10 am to 6 pm and one can register a complaint by calling the number 18003457024, apart from this two whatsapp numbers 6200482331 and 6200459412. It is active 24 hours 7 days for help. By registering a complaint, the business of illegal liquor and recovery of high rates can be stopped.
According to the Excise Commissioner, Jharkhand, toll free numbers and WhatsApp numbers can be used for complaints related to retail liquor shops operated by Jharkhand State Beverages Corporation Limited in the state. Customers being charged more than MRP and other complaints will be resolved on the basis of these numbers. These three numbers are also to be displayed on the display board in every retail liquor store. The name, identity of any informant will be kept confidential at the request of the complainant. And under departmental action, the license of that liquor shop will be canceled.
