The Special Judge of Special Court, Bhubaneswar on Wednesday convicted Gangadhar Sahoo, former Executive Engineer (EE), CADA-I, Bhubaneswar in connection with a disproportionate case registered in the year 1984 and sentenced him to undergo two years’ rigorous imprisonment.
The court also ordered him to pay a fine of Rs 20,000 and in default to undergo another three months’ imprisonment.
The Vigilance police had registered a case against Sahoo under the PC Act for possession of disproportionate assets worth Rs 4.06 lakh to his known sources of income.
