DGP reviews law and order situation through video conferencing

Director General of Police (DGP) Sudhir Saxena here on Friday took a meeting of all Zonal, Additional, Director General and Inspector General of Police and Police Commissioner of Indore and Bhopal through video conference.

Additional Director General of Police Adarsh Katiyar, Inspector General of Police Sajid Farid Shapu were also present in the meeting.

Giving necessary directions to maintain law and order on the upcoming festivals especially Eid, Akshaya Tritiya and Parashuram Jayanti, the Director General of Police said that necessary legal action should be taken by identifying the people who spread communal tension. Organize a peace committee meeting with dignified and influential members of both the communities so that all the events are conducted with cordiality and harmony.

The DGP said that adequate police arrangements should be made around religious places on these festivals. Ensure that all video cameras/ CCTV cameras installed on the procession route are in good standing and effectively use the vehicle surveillance system supplied to the districts. Get videography of processions and events done.

Along with strong patrolling, monitor through drone cameras and also take special care around religious places and keep a close watch on suspicious people. Keep an eye out for any undesirable posts on social media.
