CM to give incentive money to college-going Ladli Laxmis

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan reviewed the preparations for various public welfare programmes and campaigns starting from 30 September 30 to October 08 in the state.

Chouhan said that necessary preparations should be made for these works for the welfare of students, Ladli Laxmis and to save people from drug addiction. Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Director General of Jan Abhiyan Parishad BR Naidu and senior officials of the departments concerned were present.

The Chief Minister reviewed the preparations for the state level program for distribution of incentives to the girls who have taken admission in colleges under Ladli Laxmi Yojna 2.0 at Rabindra Bhawan Auditorium (New Convention Hall) on October 8. Along with this, discussions were also held in the meeting regarding the programmes being held at the district level.

Chouhan said that a photo exhibition should also be organized of the achievements made since the inception of this scheme. Along with this, the Department of Woman and Child Development should also prepare to publish various success stories under the scheme. Through this programme, all the girls and their parents who have benefited from Ladli Laxmi Yojana of the state should also be connected through mediums like TV, webcast, Ladli-App, YouTube and mobile. Social media should also be used to promote the programme.

The Chief Minister said that this scheme, which was started in Madhya Pradesh, was later implemented by other states in a different way. Madhya Pradesh is the state that started the scheme. The entire journey of this scheme brings forth the success of the efforts of the state government, the hard work of Ladli Laxmis, the cooperation of parents and the guidance given by the teachers. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan directed to invite Ladli Laxmis in state level and district level programmes, and ensure participation of public representatives, minister in charge, MLA and citizens.

Chouhan also sought information about the preparations for the launch of the state-level drug de-addiction campaign on October 2 at Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal. Chouhan directed the Social Justice Department to ensure that social organizations should be associated with this programme and campaign.
