CM should break his silence: PCC chief

Monday, 31 October 2022 | PNS | BHUBANESWAR

The Archana Nag honey-trap racket besides rocking Odisha has also become a topic of discussion in the country. The sinful incident has tarnished the image of the State, alleged the Odisha Congress on Sunday.

Though Archana has been arrested long back, no action has been taken against the other persons involved in the racket. Why the top Odisha police officials including the Commissioner of Police and the DCP have not conducted an inquiry sincerely, questioned Pradesh Congress Committee president Sarat Patnaik.

Patnaik demanded a High Court-monitored probe into the issue. If the Government tries to suppress it, the Congress would launch an appropriate fight against it, Patnaik said.

The Chief Minister has remained silent over the matter. He should break his silence and issue a statement, demanded Patnaik.

He further said BJD leaders, including Ministers, have been involved in a number of crimes against women in the State. But the Chief Minister has neither expelled them from the Cabinet or the party though there are lots of evidences against them.
