The Chhattisgarh government, after its flagship scheme of procuring cow dung, is preparing itself to buy cow urine.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday asked officials to constitute a technical committee and submit a report within a fortnight.
The Chief Minister held detailed discussions on various aspects of procurement of cow urine and its viability.
The technical committee will have experts from the Indira Gandhi Agriculture University (Raipur) and Kamdhenu University (Durg).
The report will make recommendations on technical aspects of collection of cow urine, its quality testing and the products which can be prepared from it.
A provision of Rs 600 crore (2022-23) has been made for development of the Mahatma Gandhi Rural Industrial Park.
An action plan for the establishment of at least four rural industrial parks in each development block be prepared.
Baghel urged officials to regularly visit the Gauthans. The vermi-compost should also be made available for sale in cities.
