BSP giving sleepless nights to Yogi, claims Mayawati

Monday, 28 February 2022 | PNS | Gorakhpur

Amid the ongoing assembly elections, Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati said that the BSP had made the present Yogi Adityanath government spend sleepless nights.

Addressing a rally in Gorakhpur on Saturday, the BSP chief slammed the Uttar Pradesh government, saying that law and order in the state was not as good as the ruling government claimed it to be. She said that the law and order was maintained well when the BSP was in power.

Mayawati appealed to the voters to vote in favour of BSP candidates without fear in the rest of the two phases of polling. She asked for support from the people of the state to bring the BSP to power for the fifth time so that Yogi was sent back to the place he came from and the whole society could develop.

Mayawati attacks Bharatiya Janata Party and Samajwadi Party, says that she was fighting election to form a majority government like in 2007.

On Yogi's constant mentioning of BSP in every rally he addresses, Mayawati said due to the BSP, Yogi was spending sleepless nights. Seeing the enthusiasm of the party workers in the public meeting, she said, "It is the enthusiasm of the workers and BSP that the Yogi government is unable to sleep. That is why he mentions the BSP in every meeting."

Mayawati said, "Yogi has made tall promises to the people of the state, but has never fulfilled them. Not only this, due to the BJP’s casteist mentality the people of Dalit and backward classes have been neglected at every level. The Yogi government harmed minorities by implicating them in fake cases."

Mayawati kept mentioning her government's development works, law and order time and again. She said that once again BSP would form the government, which would lead to the development of the state.

Mayawati appealed to the people to vote in favour of BSP candidates for 28 seats of the Gorakhpur division.

She also attacked Congress and Samajwadi Party and said that Congress could not do good to Dalits even after being in the government for a long time. “They were also subjected to a lot of harassment in the Samajwadi Party's government. BSP is determined for the welfare of the people, it does not issue a manifesto, it shows it by doing work," Mayawati added.

Earlier, Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati during the fifth phase of polling in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday, called for the victory of the party candidates in every booth to end the misrule in the state.

In a series of tweets on Sunday morning, Mayawati wrote," In the fifth phase of polling in 61 assembly seats of 12 districts of UP, it is necessary to win in all polling booths to bring BSP to power and end the misrule and to bring a government of happiness."

She said,'' After the last four phases of voting, the other parties had lost their sleeps and senses and now they were trying to mislead the voters through various rumours. In fact, tomorrow belongs to our party."

The former chief minister of UP further said," All the poor, labourers, youth, unemployed, small traders, women, exploited-victims, other neglected and working people know that the relief of their suffering and their interest is safe only in the government of BSP. This belief is our capital and the special difference between BSP and other parties."
