A woman tourist of Bengaluri was found hanging at a hotel in Puri on Thursday. It was suspected that she committed suicide. The incident came to the light following her husband tried to contact her over her mobile phone but there was response.
The deceased was identified as Aishwarya Sahanabag.
Aishwarya, who was working for a NGO, had checked in at the hotel on Wednesday to attend a conference. In the morning, her husband tried to contact her over her mobile phone but she didn’t reply. Later, he called the hotel authorities to inquiry about his wife.
Subsequently, the hotel staffs opened the room with the duplicate key and found the woman hanging. They immediately informed the police.
Though the exact reason behind her death was yet to be ascertained, preliminary investigation revealed that woman took the extreme step after having a argument with her husband on Wednesday night.
