Samajwadi Party chief and leader of opposition in UP assembly, Akhilesh Yadav, launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party government for leakage of UP Board’s English paper for the intermediate on Wednesday that forced the government to cancel the examination in 24 districts.
“UP government is squarely responsible for the leak of the paper as it was a deliberate move by the government to leak the paper so that the examination could not be completed,” Akhilesh Yadav said.
“It is business as usual. Even in the second term of the BJP government, the business of paper leak goes on unabated. The unemployed youth of UP are saying that the BJP government, having failed to provide employment, does not want any examination to be completed,” said Akhilesh Yadav in a tweet.
He added, “The BJP government at least should run the bulldozer on the examination mafia even if on paper,” he said.
The English examination was cancelled in 24 districts on Wednesday after the paper leak. The Wednesday incident is a huge embarrassment for the Yogi Adityanath government as he took oath of office on March 25. The BJP government had to face similar embarrassment in December last year when the examination paper for the TET for appointment as teachers in state run primary schools also leaked leading to cancellation of the examination.
