The Vigilance police on Tuesday caught Amiya Kumar Das, Assistant Block Education Officer (ABEO) and Sudhansu Sekhar Naik, Junior Clerk, Badchana block in Jajpur district while accepting a bribe of Rs 30,000 from a person.
The ABEO and Junior Clerk had demanded the bribe from the complainant (Teacher) for release of his arrear pay and other pending dues.
Following the trap simultaneous searches were carried out at the parental house of Das at village Kudei Sasan under the Badchana police station in the district and his residential flat at Shree Tower in BJB Nagar, Bhubaneswar.
The residence of Naik at his village Sukhadeipur under the Badchana police station in the district was also searched.Further investigation was on.
