With the arrest of three men, the Delhi Police on Sunday claimed to have busted a gang of "notorious" sharp shooters and arms supplier of "Gogi Gang" in the national Capital.

Police said the accused used to allegedly supply arms and stolen vehicles to other gang members on the direction of their bosses who are currently lodged in Jail here.

The accused has been identified as Sajjan (24), Prashant (25) and Ravi Bhardwaj (28), who were nabbed by the police team of Kanjahwala in Rohini.

Police has recovered nine pistols, five extra magazines, 35 live cartridges and two stolen two wheelers from them. This has been termed as a big catch of illegal arms, ammunition and stolen vechiles, which were being illegally trafficked to gang members for committing crime in future.

Keeping in view the rise of usage of illegal arms and ammunitions in the incidents of snatching and robberies in the area of  Kanjhawala police station, extensive drive of apprehension of criminals was initiated in their area through checking, police added.

According to Pranav Tayal, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Rohini district, on Saturday, police got specific inputs about  delivery of illegal arms and ammunitions as well as stolen two wheelers by gang members of "Gogi Gang" and aide of Deepak Dabas.

"Accordingly, we sent our team to the spot and cordoned the road where three culprits were apprehended by our team, while they were going to deliver the illegal arms, ammunitions and stolen vehicles on the telephonic directions of gangsters Deepak Dabas and Yogesh lodged in jail," said the DCP.  "During interrogation, accused persons confessed that they are aides of gangster Deepak Dabas and Yogesh who are lodged in Jail," he said.

"They revealed that on the directions of jailed gangster Yogesh, they had stolen two wheelers from Mangol puri area of outer Delhi within 15 days and were going to deliver illegal arms and ammunition along with stolen two wheelers to persons near Bawana canal on the direction of Yogesh," said the DCP.
