Chhattisgarh Congress in-charge and AICC General Secretary P L Punia on Wednesday said Congress will win the Khairagarh byelections with more votes than the last three by-polls.
Interacting with the media on his two-day visit to the state, he said he will be holding a review meeting with the office-bearer on the election and will also visit Khairagarh.
He called the byelection a semi-final before the assembly elections as the Congress had already won the Chitrakote, Dantewada and Marwahi byelections. The party will have an emphatic win now too, he said.
On both the BJP and Congress pitching Lodhi community leaders, he said Congress has an upper hand because the Congress government led by Bhupesh Baghel had done good work on the ground through different schemes.
The beneficiaries know the facts and the support will be converted into votes, he said.
Even then, all the MPs, MLAs and office bearers of party’s frontal organisation have been deputed to further spread the message of the government's achievements.
