The young dance aspirants are learning the grooves and moves of dance at a contemporary dance workshop.
Being organised by Yogi Dance Academy, Bhopal, the workshop is much fun for the aspirants. Here on Thursday, the aspirants learned abhinaya (acting) skills in a dance drama.
The workshop is organised to let the aspirants learn about the international dance forms. At the workshop, expert Yogendra Pratap Singh along with his team will teach basic moves of Jazz, Salsa, dance drama and contemporary forms to people.
The aspirants are learning the very basics steps of different dance forms. There will be the Jazz and contemporary forms. It is to be noted that all these are professional dancing style. Though anyone can learn it but it takes a lot of practice to get professional in these forms.
Notably, in these dance forms body language is major criteria. Yogendra said that it is important to keep body flexible and free at the same time to bring out the essence of the dance form. Then he stated that it is also important to feel the music and feel the dance together.
The western dance can be learned easily while the professional dance takes four years to be learned. The workshop currently will be focusing on the basic dance steps so that the upper level steps could be easily learned, shared dance master Yogendra Pratap.
