Woman robbed of gold chain at Guliya Dai Mohalla

A 36-year-old woman was robbed of her gold chain worth Rs 45000 at Guliya Dai Mohalla  under Kotwali police station area in the early morning hours on Wednesday.

According to the police, the victim Anjana Jain was on her way to home and was attacked by a   miscreant and snatched the gold chain she was wearing.

A complaint was lodged with the police by the victim. In the complaint the victim claimed that the a miscreant in the age group of 25-30 years appeared and attacked her and escaped with the gold chain she was wearing.

She raised alarm but before she could be helped the miscreants managed to escape the spot.

Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 392 of the IPC and have started further investigation.

Police said that the victim has claimed that the robbed gold chain was worth Rs 45000.

During the further investigation police would investigate CCTV cameras installed in the nearby areas which would help in the nabbing the accused. The area remains deserted which provided easy escape for the miscreants.
