Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Saturday said the State Government will provide Rs 2,000 every year to members of Tana Bhagat community for buying clothes. The CM, while inaugurating the Tana Bhagat Guest House at Banhora near Ranchi said that the amount will be given to the Tana Bhagats just like the government provides uniform allowance to its employees.
“I am happy to dedicate this newly constructed building to the Tana Bhagat community. The discipline, with which Tana Bhagats spend their lives, they have to keep this building just like that. Honour this building. Keep it equivalent to your home,” he said.
The CM said that after 20 years, a government has been formed, which is aware of the happiness and sorrow of the people here.
“The government continues to worry about how the people of the State should have a good and happy life. The government assures that there will be better changes in the development of the people in the coming days. The history of Jharkhand is not hidden from anyone. Our ancestors struggled and suffered. Now that responsibility has come on our shoulders and the meaning of that struggle is understood. Issues of the people should come to the government. If the people of the State do not speak to the government, whom will they tell? You have your government among you. We have just started walking. Throughout the year, we all were engulfed in corona pandemic. At that time your son and the Chief Minister of Jharkhand stood with Dalits, Adivasis, poor and needy,” he added.
The guest house at Banhora has been constructed by the Revenue, Registration and Land Reforms Department at a cost of about Rs 2.73 crore. The guest house has 12 rooms, two halls and buildings equipped with modern facilities. With the construction of guest house, people of Tana Bhagat community will now be able to stay and organize other programmes. Health Minister Banna Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary L Khingayate, MLA Bandhu Tirkey, Deputy Commissioner Ranchi, Senior Superintendent of Police Ranchi, Ganga Tana Bhagat and members of Tana Bhagat community were present on the occasion.
