Two prominent civil society organisations, Brahmapur-based People’s Rural Education Movement (PREM) and EDUCO Spain, on Friday felicitated Odisha Legislative Assembly (OLA) Speaker Dr Surjya Narayan Patro at his Assembly chamber for his exemplary contributions for the cause of child labour and child marriage.
PREM president Jacob Thundyal and EDUCO director Guru Prasad Rao presented a plaque and a memento to Patro and praised his initiatives to form a legislative forum for building a greater alliance to eliminate child labour and bringing changes in the lives of the State’s children.
