Following the assurance given by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Uttarakhand secretariat association has suspended its ongoing agitation for three days. The president of the association Deepak Joshi said that a high level meeting presided over by the additional chief secretary was held with the representatives of the association on Tuesday. He said that in the meeting detailed discussion on the demands of the association was held and on Tuesday evening CM Dhami also held a meeting with the association after which the agitation was suspended for three days. He however warned that a work boycott of two hours would start from October 4 if the officer order in accordance with the agreement reached is not released.
In support of its various demands the powerful association of secretariat employees is on a path of agitation from October 16.
The secretariat employees are demanding the benefit of old Assured Career Progression (ACP), restoration of old pension scheme, HRA to both husband and wife in case they are in government service and removal of discrepancies in the golden card scheme.
