A 31 year-old Supreme Court lawyer was mowed down by a car in Civil lines area on Holi. Police said that they have arrested the accused.
The deceased Aditya Chanakya Boxipatro, a resident of Odisha, who was practising in SC. Police said that the accused has been identified as 67-year-old Preeti Gupta, a resident of Bengali market.
According to police, at 3:15 pm on March 29, a PCR call regarding the accident was received following which a police team was dispatched for the spot.
“The accident between a Royal Enfield and a Toyota Glanza had occurred in the civil lines. The bike was being driven by Aditya who was taken to Parmanand hospital in where he died during the treatment,” said the police official.
