Spell of rainfall continued at several places across the State, thundery activities and rainfall were witnessed in state capital on Sunday late in the afternoon; day temperature recorded declined in the state on Sunday.
Most of the parts in Bhopal division witnessed rainfall in the past 24 hours providing relief from hot and humid conditions while at isolated places in Indore, Ujjain, Hoshanagabad, Gwalior, Jabalpur and Chambal divisions witnessed rainfall.
Ashta and Sanver recorded 4 cm of rainfall, Shujalpur and Kalapipal recorded 3 cm of rainfall, Raisen, Sehore, Vidisha, Shajapur, Maheswar recorded 1 cm each of rainfall.
Several regions in the state which were witnessing day temperature over 41 degree Celsius dipped by 4-5 degree Celsius due to rainfall and thundery activities in the past two days. Sheopur recorded highest day temperature at 42 degree Celsius.
Cyclonic circulation over southern parts of eastern Uttar Pradesh and adjoining areas, the trough is extending from Chhattisgarh and East Madhya Pradesh to Vidarbha and another cyclonic circulation persists over the Middle East Arabian Sea, off the coast of Karnataka.
The systems along with others are active and inducing pre-monsoon showers in the state and in the east Madhya Pradesh regions it will induce thunder storm and lighting at isolated places for the 3-4 days. The west Madhya Pradesh region would witness normal weather conditions and after two days thunder storm and lighting would occur.
The conditions of arrival of monsoon are favourable and would reach Kerala by June 3.
