Everything has opened in Jharkhand except religious places. This is beyond comprehension. While religious sentiments are being hurt due to non-opening of temples, a large number of people associated with them have become victims of unemployment. Taking care of their families has become difficult. Big temples have also been opened for devotees in other cities of the country. Be it Jagannath Dham of Puri or Mahakaleshwar temple of Ujjain, other major temples have been opened for the devotees, said former CM Raghubar Das on Monday.
“Today Krishna Janmashtami will be celebrated with pomp at all places like Mathura-Vrindavan, Dwarka, but due to the dictatorial attitude of the government in Jharkhand, the devotees of Krishna here will remain disheartened. In Jharkhand, the worshipers and shopkeepers associated with the Dwadarsh Jyotirling Baba Baidyanath temple are agitating. People are agitating for the opening of Maa Chhinnamastika, but the insensitive government has nothing to do with it,” he added.
The BJP National vice president further said that it is true that the danger of corona is not averted yet, but when other big temples of the country can be opened following the corona rules, then why are the temples of Jharkhand not being opened? “Does the government not have the capacity or ability to implement the Covid protocol? My demand is that by following the Covid protocol, temples and religious places should be allowed to open. In the welcome of the leaders of the ruling parties, the Covid protocol is flouted, their ministers give speeches in the crowd, at that time the State government does not remember Corona. No action is taken against them. Doesn't the corona spread then?” he asked.
“The festive season has started. But, the coalition government that is suffering from appeasement syndrome has not taken any step in this direction so far. Navratri is coming. Only one month is left, but the sleepy government has not yet taken any decision on Durga Puja. Puja-organisers are urging them, but the priorities of the government are different. Hindu society opposes the dictatorial attitude of the coalition government. If the government does not take any decision soon, then BJP workers will take to the streets and protest against it,” said the former CM.
