Police ready to curb violence on New Year's eve, says SP

The district police have become active in relation to the rioters in the New Year's celebration. In this regard, the SP has issued guidelines and directed all the station in-charges and concerned officers to increase attentiveness at various picnic spots in the district.

SP Manoj Ratan Chauthe said that many necessary steps have been taken regarding the security regarding the arrival of the new year. Men and women police in plain clothes will be deployed at all picnic spots.

The police will keep an eye on alcoholics. Strict action will be taken against those who drive under the influence of alcohol.

If possible, he may even have to go to jail. All the police stations, especially the traffic department, have been directed to check the drivers with the breath analyzer. So that alcohol can be tested. The SP has directed all the police stations to increase patrolling in their respective areas. Especially in the police station areas where there are picnic spots, they should keep a special watch. Drive vehicle checking at every square intersection. Strict action has also been directed against anti-social elements who create ruckus by drinking alcohol.

He also said that the DJ's voice should go within the prescribed limit, so that no one else has to face problems due to this. He said that along with action against those playing DJs with loud noises, the goods would also be confiscated. The SP said that special instructions have been given to increase patrolling in areas like Konar Dam, Tilaiya, Chhadwa, National Park etc.
