The Delhi Police has arrested a 30-year-old man, involved in supplying heroin in the national Capital. Police said they have also recovered one kilogram of heroin worth Rs 1.5 crore from the possession of the accused.
The accused has been identified as Sumit alias Sunny, a resident of Delhi’s Aman Vihar.
According to Chinmoy Biswal, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Crime Branch, Narcotics, on May 27, specific inputs were received that one Sunny would be supplying heroin to someone in the area of Aman Vihar in the morning hours.
“A trap was laid and Sunny was apprehended with one kg of heroin. A case was registered under section 21 NDPS Act and Sunny was placed under arrested,” said the DCP.
