There has been a slight increase in Covid positivity rate to 1.2 percent in Chhattisgarh, up from Monday's 0.9 percent, igniting a warning from the government.
If citizens shun mandatory Covid-19 appropriate behaviour of wearing masks, washing hands regularly and maintaining physical distance, positive cases will rise, the government said.
Mahasamund, Bilaspur, Mungeli, Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, Surguja and Surajpur have reported higher positive cases.
The other districts have shown a slight drop in positive cases.
This is an indication that positive cases can surge again if people don't follow the Covid-19 appropriate behaviour, Dr Subash Mishra, Director (Epidemic), told the media on Tuesday.
A total of 405 Covid positive cases were found out of the 33,054 tests conducted. On Monday, the positive cases were 244.
Meanwhile, Covid vaccine doses were administered to 2.72 lakh beneficiaries.
