Speaking in a live webinar on World Stroke day, Dr Sanjay Kumar detailed out many valuable insights on Stroke and its prevention. From medical empowerment of common man to having thrombolysis facility in the hospitals to not overlooking the sudden symptoms, Dr Sanjay mentioned that 80 per cent of stroke cases can be prevented and lives save if the patient receives the treatment within three and a half hours. Answering questions on wide measures required on a society level especially the rural base Dr Sanjay stressed on training of the community health workers at a war level by the different stakeholders.
Dr Nitin Madan Kulkarni, speaking at the webinar hosted by Aapkilath, called out the need for awareness at a mass level required including the tertiary care management to deal with Stroke. Being a fitness enthusiast himself Dr. Kulkarni talked on how important and crucial is healthy lifestyle and the fact that 90 per cent of the stroke cases can be prevented.
