Minister for Forests and Environment Bikram Kesari Arukha attending a meeting here advised the peoples’ representatives to utilise the financial grants sanctioned for the year 2020-21 to the district.
"The benefits should reach to the people in time. Due to strong determination of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, the Covid-19 cases could be minimised," said Arukha.
He also appreciated the hard work of Kandhamal MP Achyuta Samanta and district Collector Dr Brunda D for check on Covid-19.
A sum of Rs 1340,63,24,000 was sanctioned for different projects for 2019-20.
MP Dr Samanta, MLA Phulbani Angad Kanhar, MLA Baliguda Chakramani Kanhar, MLA G Udaygiri Saluga Pradhan, Zilla Parishad President Akankhya Pradhan and Vice-President Sarati Mallikand PA, ITDA Biswaranjan Nayak were present.
