Elections to various posts of the Ganjam District Bar Association were held peacefully on Saturday. A total of 1,193 votes were polled. Janardan Subudhi was elected as president. He defeated Sishir Kumar Sahu by 148 votes. Pradeep Kumar Behera won as secretary by defeating Sushil Kumar Tripathy by 295 votes.
B Bhagirathi Rao was elected as vice- president with 618 votes. Sudhir Kumar Patro was elected as assistant secretary. He got 640 votes. Election officer Prasad Rao congratulated four winners. Supporters felicitated winners with flower bouquets and took them in a procession in court premises.
