Jabalpur is facing financial and industrial lagging and which has led to backwardness, the region requires extensive inclusive investment in the era of rapid progress said
Chairman of Jabalpur Chamber of commerce Prem Dubey said Several of the launched schemes are failed to start. On the initiative of Jabalpur Chamber of commerce ready made garment complex was started but it never took off as all the stores in the complex never opened.
The Senior Vice President of Jabalpur Chamber of commerce Himashu Khare said Jabalpur- Singrauli industrial corridor which was proposed in the year 2008 never initiated and remained a distant dream. Recently proposed Bhopal-Indore Industrial corridor started but the project which was proposed 11 years remained in papers only.
He said that clusters of Textile, Toys, Plastic, Medical Instruments, Medicine Manufacturing, Automobile have been developed near Bhopal and Indore which could be developed near Jabalpur.
Radheshayam Agrawal of Jabalpur Chamber of commerce said that Babai, Acharpur, Jamunia,Khejda, Budni are developed as industrial areas.
He said that most of the places where investment is done are those in which officials have investments and due to which Bhopal – Indore industrial corridor is developed as the precious land near these areas are owned by officials.Agrawal raised concern and demanded a CBI inquiry into these lands owned by officials.
Jabalpur Chamber of commerce office bearers have appealed to CM for sensibly and sensitively take matter of investment in the region and which could bring balance in regional difference in investment.
