263-GRAM BROWN SUGAR SEIZED; 1 HELD IN JALESWAR
Baleswar: Following a tipoff, the Jaleswar police conducted a raid and seized about 263 grams of brown sugar from the possession of a drug peddler on Monday. The accused, identified as Mir Saifali of village Sasanbad, was forwarded to court after being booked under Section 21 of the NDPS Act.
LEPRA APPOINTS SCRIBE SAHOO ODISHA AMBASSADOR
Sonepur: The LEPRA Society with its registered office in Hyderabad has appointed senior journalist of Sonepur Gorekh Nath Sahoo as LEPRA's Ambassador for Odisha State. JAGATSINGHPUR SCRIBES FELICITATED
Jagatsinghpur: As many as eight scribes working in Jagatsinghpur district were felicitated on the annual day function of the Odia vernacular daily, Sakala Sathi, held in Cuttack on Saturday. The scribes honoured include Nrusingha Charan Barik, Arakhita Swain, Pramod Kumar Mallick, Sakir Ali, Sarat Kumar Dash, Upendra Rayaguru, Pratap Chandra Mohanty, Abdul Nazim and Pratibharani Ray from different newspapers and web portals.
