Jharkhand Lokayukta passes away

Jharkhand Lokayukta Justice (Retd) DN Upadhyay breathed his last due to Coronavirus infection at Delhi AIIMS at around 2.30 pm on Monday. He was under treatment in Ranchi since May 15 and on June 11, he was admitted on ventilation in AIIMS Delhi. Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Governor Droupadi Murmu alongwith several eminent persons of the State paid tributes and expressed grief on the Lokayukta’s demise.

GM, ECR holds Window Trailing inspection

A window tailing inspection of Patliputra-Pahleja railway section including Ganga Bridge, Patna was conducted by Lalit Chandra Trivedi, General Manager, East Central Railway, on Tuesday. During this, the General Manager also took stock of the doubling work going on on this section. The General Manager directed the high officials that the work of doubling this important rail bridge connecting North Bihar and South Bihar by rail should be completed on priority within the prescribed time limit. During the inspection, senior officials of East Central Railway and Divisional Railway Manager were present.

Dr GS Tiwari takes charge of VBU exam controller

Dr Gauri Shankar Tiwari took over charge as the examination controller of Vinoba Bhave University on Tuesday. He joined in the office of registrar and placed his joining letter to the registrar Dr MK Singh. The outgoing Controller of Examination Dr Virendra Kumar Gupta was present on the occasion. After joining the office Dr Tiwari came to his office chamber and met with the officials of the examination department. Dr Virendra Kumar Gupta joined in his previous department of Zoology.
