A meeting of Eastern Regional Police Coordination Committee comprising Odisha, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar and Chhattisgarh was convened by Odisha DGP Abhay on Tuesday on the virtual platform to discuss inter-State police cooperation. West Bengal DGP Virendra, Chhattisgarh DGP DM Awasthi, Jharkhand DGP. NeerajSinhai and Bihar Sanjay Kumar Singhal attended the meeting. Cooperation in anti-Maoist operation, intelligence , internal security matters, cooperation relating to inter-State crimes like organised crime, cybercrime, drug trafficking, human trafficking and cooperation in capacity building were discussed.
From Odisha, Director Intelligence Lalit Das, CB CID ADG Sanjeeb Panda, IPS, Law and Order ADG RK Sharma , IG (Operations) Amitabh Thakur, IPS, IG of Police and CB CID IG Amitendra Nath Sinha and senior officers of West Bengal, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh and Bihar were present.
