Thursday, 30 September 2021 | Staff Reporter | RAIPUR

All education officers of the Raipur division have been asked to make mandatory regular monitoring of schools and ashram schools every month in Chhattisgarh following the rape of a minor girl at a facility in Jashpur district.

An order from the Raipur Division's Joint Director of School Education said various officers as well as Principals of High School and Higher Secondary Schools have been told to monitor schools for at least three days every month, an official statement said.

The status of important schemes and programmes implemented through the School Education Department, Directorate of Public Instruction, Samagra Shiksha, SCERT and the State Level Office should also be evaluated and implementation ensured.

If any serious flaw is found, it should be immediately conveyed to the senior officer. The officers should also conduct continuous follow-up to resolve problems.

On September 24, a minor girl staying at a residential training centre for differently abled was raped and five inmates were molested by the caretaker and guard in Jashpur district.
