A first of its kind in Jharkhand State, a Multipurpose Building and Digital Studio was inaugurated by Governor of Jharkhand, Ramesh Bais at Vinobha Bhave University, Hazaribagh on Wednesday. The inaugural ceremony which took place in the Vivekanand auditorium of the university was chaired by Vice Chancellor, Dr Mukul Narayan Dev who started the ceremony with a welcome speech.
Local BJP MP and former Central minister Jayant Sinha was also a distinguished guest of the ceremony and he emphasised on the importance of education, especially during the times of the pandemic. He said in his speech that the ability to tackle such a dreaded public health crisis has come only from education. This digital studio and multipurpose building at Vinobha Bhave University would ensure that the students gain a world class exposure to varied fields and areas of education.
Governor Ramesh Bais in his address said that education is the single most important thing in the pursuit of excellence and such an initiative would not only provide a superior educational experience but also inculcate moral values in the students. The multipurpose hall has facilities of sports, gymnasium, and physiotherapy along with educational avenues. This would lead to overall development of students.
He further said that the digital studio would also carve a new pathway for students to explore and make them aware and informed citizens of the country. He also mentioned that good health and education are the two most important steps for human development and if a country has these two in good state, then nothing can stop it from achieving greater heights of development and growth.
The programme was anchored by the syndicate member and teacher of Anthropology department John Rufine Tirkey and vote of thanks was given by Pro VC PK Sinha. To conclude the event, a cultural programme was presented by the students of the university.
