The Congress on Monday accused the Modi Government of selling the precious assets of the country in the name of asset monetisation pipeline. During such long years, these national properties were serving the countrymen; and all of those like national highways, railways, ports, electricity transmission lines, Panthikas were valuable national properties and lands.Party leader and former Finance Minister Panchanan Kanungo said the Modi Government has unfortunately included some important infrastructures of Odisha like Paradip Port, Biju Patnaik International Airport and some tourist places in this scheme. He stated that the Centre has targeted to collect Rs 6 lakh crore in next four years by selling or leasing out the assets. Kanungo demanded that the Union Government come out with a whitepaper of how many assets have been listed for monetisation and how many State Governments have been taken into board.
