Palamu Range Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Rajkumar Lakra conducted an Inter-State border meeting of the police officers to discuss various issues and challenges in maintaining law and order at Garhwa police line.
Deputy Commissioner, Garhwa; Superintendent of Police, Garhwa; Deputy Commissioner, Balrampur (Chhatisgarh), Superintendent of Police, Balrampur (Chhatisgarh), Deputy Director, Palamu Tiger Reserve, Second Commanding Officer, CRPF 172 Battalion , Second Commanding Officer, CRPF 62 Battalion, Additional Superintendent of Police, Garhwa; Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Mahuadand; Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Barwadih among others attended the meeting.
During the meeting, it was deliberated on enhancing real-time intelligence sharing and conducting more joint operations to tackle the left wing extremism (LWE) menace and other Crimes during the inter-state coordination meeting.
Reiterating that there was no Naxalite movement in the Palamu Range, the DIG said they were keeping close tabs on suspected Naxalite movement if any, and foiling their bid to retain a hold in the region.
“We are watching the red terror movement and not allowing them to intrude and regain their hold in the State. If they arrive, we are ready to weed them out with an iron hand,” he said.
"Jharkhand's Latehar, Garhwa and Chhatisgarh's Balrampur district have to work together. Unless and until action is not taken by establishing coordination between the police of the all three districts, the operation will not be done effectively" said Garhwa SP Anjani Kumar Jha.
