Crime branch police have nabbed a wanted miscreant carrying a reward of Rs 25000 from Ashoka Garden and recovered five country-made pistol, live cartridges from his possession late in the night on Monday.
According to the police acting on a tip off regarding an wanted absconding accused Salman Wasi who was wanted in three cases of opening fire.
After the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act. The wanted accused was book for opening fire at Arif Nagar, Nishatpura and Piplani.
Police have claimed that the miscreant was nabbed with five country made pistols and cartridge. The accused deals in selling firearms illegally. He was on his way to commit crime or trying to sell the country made pistol and cartridges would be investigated.
Based on the confession police have started investigation regarding the buyer and seller involved in the network.
Salman is a notorious criminal and after three cases of firing police declared a reward of Rs 25000 for providing whereabouts of the accused.Police said that during investigation accused revealed that firearms are bought from UP and sold in the state capital at massive price.
