Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday said tackling the Covid epidemic is a joint social responsibility. He was inaugurating a 100-bed Covid Hospital built in collaboration with the Vedanta Group in Deogarh district, which now has two such hospitals.
Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that due to the efforts of all, the impact of Covid in Odisha is declining. He lauded the State Government’s efforts to produce vaccines and stressed the need for the vaccination programme to be carried out in a planned manner so that everyone can get vaccinated within six to eight months. Vedanta Group chairman Anil Agrawal, who attended the virtual function, said Odisha is number one in the country in Covid management.
